1. What we collect
How much we hold depends on how far you go with JBZY. Joining the waitlist needs two things; a full account needs more.
- Waitlist — if you join from our homepage we store your email address and the role you told us you are looking for, and nothing else. No account is created and no password is set.
- Account information — your email address, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and whether you signed up as a seeker or a recruiter.
- Profile information — your name, location, bio, job title, skills, experience, education, availability, salary preferences, and anything else you choose to add. Students may also add university, field of study, graduation year and grades.
- Uploaded files — your CV or résumé if you upload one, and your avatar image if you set one.
- Activity on the platform — applications you send, jobs you bookmark, messages you exchange with other users, and conversations with the AI assistant.
- Payment information — for Quick Jobs, card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our servers. We store only the payment intent reference and the escrow status.
2. How we use it
- Telling you when we open — a waitlist email is used to contact you about launch, and to lead with roles in the area you named. We do not sell it or add you to unrelated mailing lists.
- Matching — your skills, experience and preferences are used to surface relevant roles, or relevant candidates to recruiters.
- AI features — the assistant uses your profile to draft tailored CVs and cover letters, suggest roles, and answer questions.
- Running the platform — applications, Quick Jobs, messaging and talent search all depend on the data above.
- Service emails — sign-up confirmation, password resets, and notifications about your applications. Marketing email only with your consent.
- Safety — detecting fraud, fake profiles and abuse.
3. Who else sees it
We use the following providers. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data.
- Supabase — our database, authentication and file storage, hosted on AWS. Your profile, messages and uploads live here.
- Vercel — hosts and serves the site, and processes request logs in doing so.
- Anthropic— powers the AI assistant and matching. When you use an AI feature, the relevant profile data and your messages are sent to Anthropic’s API to generate a response.
- Stripe — payment processing and escrow for Quick Jobs.
- Resend — delivers our transactional email.
Other users see what you publish: recruiters can see seeker profiles that are set to visible, and anyone you message can see what you send them. Avatars are served from public URLs. Résumés are not — they are shared only through short-lived private links when you or a recruiter you have applied to opens one.
4. Cookies
Session cookies only — an authentication cookie managed by Supabase that keeps you logged in, and a cookie recording beta access. No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics. Clearing cookies logs you out and nothing else.
5. Your choices
You can edit or delete your profile information at any time from your profile settings. To leave the waitlist, request a copy of your data, or delete your account and everything attached to it, email privacy@jbzy.io and we will action it. We keep waitlist entries until launch or until you ask us to remove yours.
